Our bed and breakfast has been in the family for three generations now. It has a lot of sentimental value for me. I remember running down the hallways as a child during the off season, waking up to my dad making pancakes downstairs for the huge group of family that we’d have over during the holidays. All nostalgia aside, some parts of our beautiful old home needed a facelift and we felt like this summer was the perfect time for it. Our bathrooms needed work! Finding shower doors in Union County NJ is fairly simple, so we decided to start there!

Our showers had a lot of original hardware but you could tell some DIY upgrades had been done over the years. Our sliding doors would stick and the glass had scratches and scuffs on the inside. We wanted to keep the old charm of the home, so we tried to find something that looked similar. It didn’t take us long to find the perfect doors at a nearby shop. They offered installation and seemed knowledgable about the process. By the end of the week, we had beautiful new shower doors in all of our bathrooms and even got some custom work done for the family suite bathroom.

Our guests have yet to see the new renovations, as the season doesn’t start for another few weeks. We know that they’ll love the newer, easier to use doors and will appreciate the work that has been put into the entire place this summer. Finding modern solutions that match our vintage look was important to us in this whole process and we’re glad to report that the B&B hasn’t lost a bit of the charm that makes it so special! It’s just a little comfier to use and a lot prettier (if you ask us!)
